Shoe'shi bar HISTORY

Shoe’shi bar was founded by the Souid family in 2002. With roots in Northern Africa, Italy and Denmark the family united their skills across the generations, with decades of experience in the shoe fashion industry with avant-garde design in a unique dedicated concept.

The first Shoe’ shi bar ladies and men’s collection was born and launched in flagship stores in Aarhus Denmark. Since its launch, the brand has expanded rapidly, and by 2003, Shoe’ shi bar was represented in selected stores all over Scandinavia. An assortment of bags designed inspired by the shoes, has been added to the collection, and the diffusion line s*bar was born that same year.

In 2004 Europe was introduced to Shoe’ shi bar on the international fashion fair Bread and Butter Berlin. The European market embraced the exceptional concept of Scandinavian design, which experimented with materials, carvings, shades, contrasts and its incredible eye for details. Shoe’shi bar had now reached Germany, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, United Kingdom and Ireland.

In 2005, Shoe’ shi bar caught the attention of the international media. MTV Europe, Japanese Elle, Australian Nylon and even the catwalk at Royal College of Art Fashion in London presented Shoe’shi bars collection. Celebrities such as Hollywood actor Peter Stormare, Alice Cooper and Anastasia were among the clientele and the demand for Shoe’ shi bar was rising. The brand was extending to agents in Benelux,Germany, Italy, France, Scandinavia and had reached as far as Canada.

New markets are opening as well as flagship stores and shop-in-shops. The future looks bright, as Shoe’ shi bar has a lot of plans up its sleeve.

A fusion of southern features and Scandinavian design, evolved into Shoe’ shi bar and its 8 fashion lines, including its recently launched accessory line. Shoe’ shi bar is represented in more than 30 countries worldwide, and keeps moving to the front line of shoe fashion with its innovative designs.



PRODUCTION

The Shoe’ shi bar collection is produced in Italy by traditional shoe makers, who take great pride in their skills and craft. Their love for exceptional quality and their keen eye for detail make every hand-made pair exceptional and unique.

The s*bar and sneaker collections are produced at Shoe’ shi bar’s own high tech factory in China, with Italian craftsmen and supervisors guaranteeing Shoe’ shi bars high quality standards.

All materials are carefully selected. Only leather and skin of the finest quality are used. Lasts, heels and soles are specially designed by Shoe’ shi bar to fit each innovative style, and live up to the high standards of comfort and quality.

What characterizes Shoe’ shi bar is the experimental use of extraordinary materials such as catfish, pony leather, and lack and new approaches to the use of traditional leather qualities such as suede. In all experimentation, Shoe’ shi bar never abandons the traditions of shoemaking. Leather finishes are always hand-brushed or polished, or even buried under ground, to give each pair a unique and distinct look.
